Born Ricky Lee Smith,
June 23rd, 1955, the bassist and founding member of Fate 55, started his
music career at age 12 by playing live music in his first band "The

of James Jamerson and countless others, the Bass was the instrument of
choice. For many years now, Ricky Lee has been making people dance with
his big bottom groove oriented bass playing. Since the beginning in the
summer of 1991, Ricky Lee has been the bass groove behind Fate 55.
Ricky Lee currently plays a Dean 6 String Bass
through a SWR MoBass Amp into a Smith Craft Cabinet when performing live.
